Katarina Maksimov

Katarina Maksimov

Born in 1979 in Belgrade. She graduated as an architectural engineer in 2006 at the Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad. She started her professional career as a researcher and associate at the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments of the City of Novi Sad in 2006, where she still works today. Through various projects throughout Serbia, she actively contributed to the preservation of cultural heritage. From 2009 to 2015, she was engaged at the same faculty as an external associate, where she transferred her knowledge in the field of architectural heritage.

As a representative of the profession, she actively participated in the Project "Culture Route - Fortresses on the Danube" in 2010, in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and the UNESCO office in Venice. In addition to the protection of architectural heritage, Katarina stands out in the popularization of this area. She played a key role and managed numerous projects of reconstruction and rehabilitation of buildings of importance for cultural heritage. She is a PhD student at the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad and has been the president of the Society of Conservators of Serbia since February 2019. Katarina actively shares her work and results at national and international conferences, as well as in professional journals.
